Water damage to commercial building in Sacramento. Equipment placed to begin drying process.

What is a commercial building? It is a building that hosts business activities such as offices and warehouses. 

SERVPRO of East Sacramento/West Arden-Arcade handled water damages throughout the Sacramento area. We have handled water supply lines bursting, days of rain, toilet overflows, and much more that could affect the structure of the commercial building. 

Amidst construction, water had managed to enter the building from the roof, travel down the shafts, and affect several floors of the building. There was moisture on the drywall of the shaft. With no standing water to extract, our team had to develop a strategy to and place air movers to each affected level to dry out the venting shaft walls. Since each floor was open (just metal framing structure) and exposed to the outside air, no dehumidifiers were placed. 

With every monitoring visit that SERVPRO of East Sacramento/West Arden-Arcade perform, we rearranged the equipment to help dry out the affected material faster. With desiccants set up, we fixed containment for some of the ducting.

As the days progressed, all material was showing progression in drying, and the shaft liner seemed to be drying down. Our moisture readings were low. Once all material was dried, we would remove equipment from the site.
